Humane Education and Outreach

Humane education and outreach has been an integral part of Vermont Volunteer Services for Animals Humane Society (VVSA) since our inception in 1986.  VVSA’s educational programs have included lecture series in elementary schools and after-school programs, as well as presentations at senior citizen centers to discuss animals related topics.

One of the key ways to provide humane education is through the media.  VVSA has advertised programs and animal welfare issues through public service announcements, print media, radio and public television.

And of course look for our TV show "For The Animals" broadcast on all of Vermont’s Public Access Stations and available online!  We welcome your ideas for new topics.
