The best of the best.
Love is ageless.
Love continues...
Love comes in all sizes.

"Simon" was abandoned at Woodstock Animal Care Veterinary Hospital in Woodstock in the middle of the night. He is an older cat that has some health issues, but is loving and has a strong will to live and much love and companionship to give. He was adopted by an elderly woman who had recently lost her beloved cat, after years of companionship, and now loves Simon as much as he loves her! At anytime during the day or night, they can be found wrapped in each others arms.
Simon requires special food for his condition (renal failure) and if you would like to help support this need, please visit our donation page and note that contributions be earmarked for "Simon". We're confident that both he and his mistress will have years with which to love each other! Please, please make plans for your animals when the time comes that you will not be there to provide for them any longer....

Aster's "Mom" AKA Barb took a fall and was found a day later in her home. Barb was in the hospital for two months while VVSA took care of her 16 beloved cats and her dog, Aster, daily. It was eventually determined that Barb would not be able to return to her home and live independently again. VVSA then built a shelter for them at the home of a long time VVSA supporter and friend, where the cats were kept until homes could be found for most of them. Today, four cats and Aster live with the director of VVSA, and Barb is able to visit with Aster at the nursing home where she resides. Needless to say, she is the bright spot in the residents day! (Please, please make plans for your animals in the event that anything happens to you!)
